Envelope Types

Polybags

Polybags offer clear advantages in terms of lightness, water resistance and durability. They are available in many thicknesses from 30 to 120micron. Due to high printing origination costs, polybags are typically cost effective for larger print runs of 50,000+ items. For lower volume jobs clear or stock polybags may be a competitive option. Polywrap

This involves wrapping polythene film around your mailing pack and sealing it in one process, on a dedicated polywrapping machine such as Sitma. The advantage of this method versus the use of polybags is that it is generally more cost effective on lower volume runs. It gives you the flexibility to print in full colour, there are metallic options, and degradable and bio-degradable options are also available to minimise environmental impacts. Jiffy bags

When your item demands more protection than a standard mailing envelope or board back envelope, padded envelopes are a good option. MCM can supply these in a range of sizes to suit your specific item.
